We are so excited to announce that UN Women University of Toronto is transforming itself into the Feminist Equal Rights Alliance (FERA).

With the path that our organization has taken the past school year, along with how much we have grown in size, we wanted to find a way to turn our mighty community into one that was more inclusive and welcoming to all gender and sexual minorities. Although we maintain our support for UN Women and commemorate their efforts, the expansion and widespread influence of our club have inspired our team to no longer be representatives of UN Women and instead become boundless leaders with the goal of creating a safe space for feminist action on campus. Our new position as FERA will allow us to stray away from the rituals of bureaucratic work that come with being a part of a large institution and focus more on giving back to our community while empowering our peers.

While this transformation comes with a plethora of new possibilities, the integrity of our club structure will remain the same along with our amazing members.
